Noah’s Pudding (Ashura)

Noah’s pudding (Ashura), which is a recipe as old as the story of Noah and the Ark, is shared among neighbors and friends in Turkey as a sign of mutual love and respect within the community. People prepare the pudding at home and handout bowls of it to their neighbors. Every year, Turkish Cultural Center volunteers prepare thousands of bowls of Noah’s pudding and hand it out to its various neighbors all around the city.
