Fourth Annual Educators Appreciation Day

On March 21st, TCCNJ celebrated Educators day with Educators from Edison, Piscataway and Somerset.

The focus of the night was Rumi, there was a presentation about Rumi by Dr. Yesim Acikel to inform the guests followed by young Whirling Dervishes performance. A professional Whirling Dervish Adem Baskaya shared a Sufi performance. Leyla Yurt, student of Conackamack middle school in Piscataway, read a poem by Rumi. Program ended with Kanun performance. All teachers who attended the program received a Ney cd at the end of the program.

Mr Stio who is the director of Randophville Elementary School said “We love Turkish Community and their support for our school. Kids are amazing as well.”
