Turkish Coffee Night

We gathered with our neighbors, friends and colleagues at a “Turkish Coffee Night” on November 17th. Guests enjoyed the night at our Clifton branch. The night started with a warm welcome speech by Semra Kurucan. After a wonderful presentation about TCC NJ’s activities the guests were served with delicious Turkish meals and deserts. After the meal guests enjoyed the Turkish coffee, which was probably the most awaited moment of the night. The night continued with a raffle, which 10 winners were given prizes by Mr. Tozan and Mr. Sahin.

The night ended with Imran Baysal’s wonderful musical performance playing “Qanun”, a traditional string instrument. On the way to home each guest is given “Ashure” (aka Noah’s puding), a unique desert made with barley, dried fruits and nuts.
