Istanbul Coffee Night

On April 19th, Turkish Cultural Center in Edison organized a coffee night with the theme of ‘Istanbul’. The event started with the welcome speech and a brief information about Turkish community in New Jersey and activities in TCC. While enjoying samples of traditional homemade Turkish food, guests watched a short video on Istanbul. Program continued with an informative quiz and guests won gifts from Turkey by answering questions about Istanbul and Turkey. Then, Turkish coffees were served in traditional cups while guests were enjoying traditional Turkish desserts ‘baklava’ and ‘şekerpare’. Besides learning about Turkish customs and beauty of Istanbul, participants enjoyed having cozy conversations with people from different backgrounds to know each other better during the program.
